Lance Elrod is passionate about providing his clients with financial clarity through his expertise with planning software, and his eye for detail. He strives to fully educate clients so they can confidently make the most informed decisions possible when it comes to their financial lives. He truly enjoys the relationships he builds with his clients, and being able to see them put their plans into action.

Lance joined Mint Wealth Management in 2015. With over 10 years of combined experience, Lance has an extensive background in wealth management. Previously, he worked as a Relationship Manager with United Capital, where he provided plans for and supported the Managing directors. He also worked for Halliburton as a Drilling Fluids Engineer in the Permian Basin, and worked with multiple large natural resource companies including Shell, Oxy USA, ConocoPhilips, and Pioneer Natural Resources.

Lance earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Personal Financial Planning from Texas Tech University, a program that The New York Times considers “The best undergraduate financial planning program in the country”. During his time at Texas Tech, he was elected president of Beta Upsilon Chi, a Christian fraternity on campus. Lance is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™.

What’s more, a CFP® professional must acquire several years of experience related to delivering financial planning services to clients and pass the comprehensive CFP® Certification Exam before they can call themselves a CFP® professional.

Currently, Lance lives in Cypress, Texas with his wife, Tessa, and their two sons, Landon and Fischer. When he’s not in the office, Lance can be found spending time with his family, fishing, and working with his hands.
